As some of you may recall, last year I signed up to the Great Manchester Swim.
Ok I actually signed up to two runs and a swim, however due to other commitments I never actually made it to the runs.
Next year will be different!
However I am going to be doing the swim. I have booked my wetsuit, I have made sure that I have been training in the pool, and I’m all psyched up to do the 1km swim in the Salford Quays on the 19th July this year.
Those of you who look at my fitness page will know that swimming is a sport that I actually enjoy, and that I can do 2.5/3km no problems, however this is in open water, a total kettle of fish, and as such I have set myself a big challenge.
But the challenge isn’t just for me, its for you guys as well reading this.
I have set myself a big target, to raise £500 for Crohns and Colitis UK, a charity that is very important to me, as I myself am a sufferer of Crohns.
I know its a high target but I have faith in my readers, followers, family and friends that I can meet or beat it.
Giving is easy, it can be done in one of three ways.
- Via my JustGiving page – click here
- If you meet me in person, give me a cash donation. A receipt of all cash donations will be placed on my website and the JustGiving page after the swim.
- Text a donation, you can do this by following the information on the image below.
Making a donation is simple, and there really is no donation that is too small.
Please dig deep and make what I am doing a worth while experience for charity.
