One team from the North West office of Hays, the other from Yorkshire took to the football pitch of the Etihad Stadium in aid of The Brain Tumour Charity.
This years birthday present from my parents was up there with the best, quite literally as it took me up, up, and away!
Two years ago, the city of Liverpool was taken over by three Giants, and a story of the Titanic told. This year, they returned, and with grandma, the little girl, and dog, telling a story of WWI.
Today I did something I had never done before, and that was swim in open water. Naturally I did it for charity, however the experience was fantastic, with water being a lovely 20.5°C. Here is a little post to document the morning in the open water.
2 years since a holiday, and over 8 since I had been to Israel, this summer reset those clocks back to 0 as I took a well earned break to Israel for a week.
Considering I had never heard of it until around 11 o’clock this morning, spending my afternoon in the City Centre watching this celebration of the City of Manchester, was a great way to spend a few hours.
It wasn’t as fast as an Aston Martin, or explosive as shooting a gun, but this years experience day, just like the others, was an adrenaline rush, despite its lacksidasical pace.
Its always a welcome break to get away from things, especially when you have been working hard during the year, and haven’t taken any holiday off from work since September the 2nd. Therefore having a few days in beautiful Yorkshire, getting some fresh air, eating some good food and spending time with family will always go down well.
I have finished one chapter, and one new book. After my interview on Tuesday, and a phone call yesterday, it is official, I am no longer a student, but a fully grown adult!!!
I managed to get the photographs I was after, and do something different by climbing the O2 arena – so all in all, I would say my family trip to London was a success!
